The right projector depends on your mounting height, ambient lighting conditions, desired image size and where the image will be projected. INCOM offers 80W, 135W, 200W and 500W models for a range of industrial applications. If you are unsure which model you need, contact us with details about your installation and we can help recommend an appropriate projector and lens.

Image size depends on the distance between the projector and projection surface and the lens selected. Different lens options allow you to produce different image sizes from the same mounting height. Refer to the projection size charts for approximate image dimensions at common mounting heights.

GOBO stands for “Goes Before Optics.” It is the image element installed inside the projector that creates the safety sign, symbol or message projected onto the floor or wall. Light passes through the GOBO and the projector lens to create the finished image.

Each INCOM safety sign projector includes one GOBO with your selected image. Additional or replacement GOBOs can be ordered separately, allowing you to change the projected message without replacing the projector.

Yes. When a projector cannot be mounted directly above the desired location, the artwork can be adjusted using keystone correction to compensate for the projection angle and reduce image distortion.

Keystone correction can significantly improve an angled projection, but results may not be geometrically perfect in every installation. The amount of correction possible depends on the mounting position, projection distance, angle and image being projected.

For a projector that will be mounted at an angle, provide:

  • Mounting height: Vertical distance from the projector lens to the floor or projection surface.
  • Projection offset: Horizontal distance from the projector mounting location to the centre of the desired image.
  • Wall offset, if applicable: Distance from the wall or mounting reference point to the centre of the projected image.
  • Image orientation: The direction the finished image should face or be read from.

This will depend on the projector configuration and artwork. Keystone-corrected images must remain stationary and cannot rotate.

Yes. Safety messages can be projected onto floors or walls, allowing the image to be positioned where it will provide the greatest visibility for the application.

Yes. Custom projected images can be produced with specific wording, symbols, colours or facility-specific safety messages. Contact us with your artwork or requirements and we can help determine the appropriate solution.

Projected signs do not rely on an adhesive surface and are not physically contacted by forklifts, pallet jacks or foot traffic. This makes them particularly useful in high-traffic areas or on floors where dirt, dust, moisture or surface wear can make conventional floor markings difficult to maintain.

No. INCOM safety sign projectors are not currently UL certified.
